Each year, Edinburgh’s cultural calendar is highlighted with the much anticipated celebration of Chinese New Year held at Usher Hall with a special concert performed by the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra,
featuring works by Chinese composer Bingyuan Cui, including ‘Dun and Huang’ and ‘Silk Road Orient’.
This year’s carefully curated concert marks the 40th anniversary of the successful sister-city relationship between Xi’an and Edinburgh, blend-ing Eastern and Western musical traditions inspired by the Silk Road’s wealth of history.
