British eight-piece Caroline are a folk/post-rock band making sounds you’ve never heard before in ways you couldn’t dream about. On ‘caroline 2’ the band pairs a considerable experimental edge with a pop-forward sensibility – most notably on ‘Tell me I never knew that’, their collaboration with Caroline Polachek – to make an album that is without ready analogue. They bring their unorthodox production methods forward into the live show with a huge set-up, roaming mics and live processing. Not to be missed.
