Braw Gigs presents: Autumns (live) with Ascetic Practices (DJs)
Braw Gigs has teamed up with the awesome Ascetic Practices crew to bring you a very special party on December 12th in the Wee Red Bar featuring a special live performance from the mighty AUTUMNS, along with dj sets from Mothgirl, Sacred Keys and The Nightlark – who will also be launching their new issue of the AP zine on the same night, so grab a copy.
Autumns is an outlet for electronic post-punk, fused with elements of dub and sound experimentation. The project showcases a love of whip-cracked rhythms, heavily effected vocals and no-wave guitars, processed through dub techniques within the mixing desk. An obsession with freak sounds leads to a high-intensity live show, using minimal equipment for maximum results. Autumns has taken the project to forms of dysfunctional metal dance, dubbed-out rhythms and DIY punk angst. Hot on the heels of his most recent and well received record – “Basic Face” on Dummy Hand, he has been nothing if not prolific, churning out album after album of top-tier tracks drawing influence from early Industrial and acid-laced EBM akin to the respective forefathers Throbbing Gristle and Nitzer Ebb.
