Aquelarre is back at Leith FAB Cricket Club for another fun night for the weirdos. This time, we’re bringing the uncanny Tony Morris (Optimo Music). Most at home in small, dark, intimate venues, the ever-dapper Glaswegian delivers a set of deconstructed, angst-ridden songs underpinned by bass-heavy, minimalist beats. DJ Moth Girl (Ascetic Practices) is gracing the aquelarre stage with her signature dark synthy beats. Since it’s her birthday and she will need to socialise occasionally, she’s dragging the old ball and chain Sacred Keys (Ascetic Practices) along too to cover while she satisfies her ablutions. He will deliver an out of office reply of skronky post punk and sleazy jams in her absence. They are truly a power couple of the auld reekie underground not to be missed. Pako Vega (Sounds of Ogigia) will open the night with a DJ set packed with wonky, psychedelic vibes. Expect a night of everything from disco oddities to punk dance, acid house, and beyond.
