Acolyte ‘Warm Days in December’ Single Launch with Ravelston (live)

December 6

Acolyte ‘Warm Days in December’ Single Launch with Ravelston (live) Edinburgh band Acolyte celebrate the release of their new single “Warm Days in December” on Lost Map Records.

The group blend music and spoken-word to create spellbinding live performances. Fronted by the award-winning poet Iona Lee, the band crafts immersive shows that blur the line between concert and theatre.

Iona’s lyrical storytelling is underscored by the atmospheric bass lines of Ruairidh Morrison (Nomoss / The Microband), the lush synth textures and ethereal backing vocals of Gloria Black (Maranta / Microsteria), and the experimental percussion of Daniel Hill.

Together, Acolyte fuse hypnotic loops, harmonic depth, and existential motifs to create truly unique work. Support comes from Ravelston, performing his new live setup.

Ravelston has an inspiringly eclectic taste, both as a producer, DJ and live performer, with a deep fondness for leftfield, cosmic and psychedelic sounds which comes through in spades in the music he creates. His new project is a genre-defying “post-hop” sound that folds together rhythm, ambience, and experimental production for something distinct and forward-looking.
